Praia de Futuro, Fortaleza

3.6
The most sought after beach for locals, Praia de Futuro has strong surf that makes this a popular surfing destination that serves tropical drinks from numerous beach bars. Due to its position away from the main northern coast, this urban beach boasts the cleanest waters in the area. Although its location away from the city center means that huge crowds won't bother you, this is still a touristy spot lined with seaside resorts. An endless sea of shacks in all shapes and sizes sell alcoholic drinks and finger foods along the beach. While the waters are pleasant for a small dip, the strong currents, undertows, and large waves make the waters dangerous for long swims. A visit to Praia de Futuro represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Fortaleza trip itinerary builder website to plot your vacation.

Beautiful beach, tents with great structure. We were on the beach and Croco Chico crab, both have great service and quality. Beach clean, shadow, with hot water.

Praia do futuro, where locals and tourists are to be on weekends as on own week. A the edge of the city with several tents for all tastes, for all genres. All have chairs, tables and some even swimming pools. Some tents are typically for tourists with high prices (typically the best known) so before you choose which tent to go find out if it's more touristy or to "local people ' as they say. In relation to the access is super easy and close. There are buses (R$3,20 pass), "topics" (as you say) that has the same value of the bus. The tents open early in the morning and close at night. A lot of her own sketch show, live music etc. And at sunset on the Boardwalk you can find snack stands, drinks etc. The downside is that you must be careful because the area is dangerous and if you have news of robberies on the Boardwalk. So stay tuned with handbags and cellphones. In more enjoy enough that the sea has a nice, warm water.

Where to stay in Fortaleza

If you want to focus on the historical attractions in Fortaleza, stay in the city center or a nearby neighborhood for easy access. Far more popular, however, is the coastal neighborhood of Praia de Iracema, where you can immerse yourself in the city's beach, restaurant, and nightlife scene. Any number of hotels line the neighborhood's expansive beachfront. For something a bit quieter, but still a stone's throw from the beach, look east to the coastal neighborhoods of De Lourdes and Praia do Futuro II. Thanks to the growing popularity of Fortaleza tourism, you can find a range of budget hostels throughout the city.
