Praia de Cumbuco, Fortaleza

(8,000+ reviews on the web)
Beach Nature / Park
The small fisherman's village at Praia de Cumbuco is quickly becoming popular for travelers who want a relaxing place to unwind by the beach in a less-touristy part of town. A beautiful, quiet beach near Fortaleza is on one side of town and the famous sand dunes are on the other. Facing the the Atlantic Ocean, southeast winds and mild ocean temperatures, as well as sand dunes creating thermals boost wind speeds to create prefect conditions for you to indulge in kite surfing and windsurfing. Small lagoons spread out across the area for swimming and provide places for several beach restaurants called barracas.
