  • The fish market is where you buy the fish, shrimp, lobster etc. very fresh. There are some restaurants that are in time for you to eat there anyway. Is charged R $10.00. There you can also order side dishes and drinks. It has a playground for children free on site, just slide. Downside, Many street vendors between the tables selling all sorts of things.

  • Recommend to visitors of the fortress a meal at the Fish Market. It's a very interesting experience. There are several sites that sell shrimp, fish ... You buy what you want and they prepared on time. Garlic shrimp and oil is a delight. In addition, the sunset is a SideShow.

  • Seafood and fresh fish, chosen by you and fried then by box of frying. We ate, I and my wife, 5 lobster tails, with side dishes, alongside a wonderful setting, a real painting with the fishermen's boats anchored. Simple and cheap place. Not to be missed.

  • I came to the market at 9:00 pm, bought the fish in the box and went to the Fryer, getting there I was told that it would take until 2:00 to my request to stay ready, I went in the other 3 fryers and received the same information, a waiter last Fryer told me that I should "get" a table and then buy the fish. I didn't like the service I received, but the kilo of fish and others, it's worth it.

  • The new market has a beautiful view, is well ventilated and clean. Has fish fresh, most Fish, lobsters and shrimp, I don't remember seeing clams or other seafood. It is worth to take it easy to evaluate the quality and the price before buying. Like every tourist spot, is more empty during the days of the week, morning or afternoon. At night and on the weekends it gets pretty full and it can be difficult to find a table. You can pay to prepare your food in some of the local kitchens, where the most common is Sauté with garlic and oil, quite simple.

  • Great place, you buy your fish and asks to prepare right there, just be careful cuz they take part when preparing and the purchase they put smaller prawns than pay, sad ...

Where to stay in Fortaleza

If you want to focus on the historical attractions in Fortaleza, stay in the city center or a nearby neighborhood for easy access. Far more popular, however, is the coastal neighborhood of Praia de Iracema, where you can immerse yourself in the city's beach, restaurant, and nightlife scene. Any number of hotels line the neighborhood's expansive beachfront. For something a bit quieter, but still a stone's throw from the beach, look east to the coastal neighborhoods of De Lourdes and Praia do Futuro II. Thanks to the growing popularity of Fortaleza tourism, you can find a range of budget hostels throughout the city.
