Praia do Campeche, Florianopolis
(4.2/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Exactly opposite Praia do Campeche sits Campeche Island, and the waves created as the sea pushes past that landmass attract surfers form all over the world. All kinds of beach sports--, from bodyboarding and kayaking, to beach volleyball and soccer--are practiced at Praia do Campeche although there is plenty of space for those who prefer their beach trips to be a little more relaxing. The beach is so long, in fact, that locals claim French writer Antoine de St. Exupéry used to land his plane here in the thirties. If you find yourself at Praia do Campeche during the winter months of July and August, you may spot a Southern Right Whale, as the species uses the surrounding waters as a nursery. A visit to Praia do Campeche represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Florianopolis itinerary maker to plot your vacation.

  • Beach without structure of bars and restaurants, but really cool. Clean, for those who don't like hype. The sea is very calm.

  • It is retired from the area more tourist, a wide Beach, but difficult to reach, as well as little space to park free, icy water. PS: There the place of the island can be seen.

  • The beach is pretty as most of the island but prices are high for almost any activity. Difficult to Park, with music on the beach that may not be liked by everyone. The truth is that not voveria. The beach of beside Morro das pedras is super quiet although it does not offer commercial activity.
