Where to stay in Florianopolis

To get a true taste of the city's culture on your trip to Florianopolis, it's best to stay in the historical center on Santa Catarina Island. There you'll find plenty of accommodations--a significantly better selection than on the mainland--ranging from budget guesthouses and hostels to luxury hotels. Many guests, however, choose to take advantage of the island's charming nature by staying away from the city center, in the lakeside district of Lagoa da Conceição. For easy access to the best surf beaches on the island, stay a couple miles farther away at Mole Beach or Barra da Lagoa.

  • Itaguaçu beach is one of the most beautiful of Florianópolis. It is located on the Mainland, so unfit for bathing, but your beauty is fascinating. The stones leave the beach even more beautiful.

  • Beautiful place, full of magic and mystery. Legend has it that the witches of the region wanted to make a wonderful party to templates. The location for the party meeting would be the beach of Itaguaçu, Florianópolis, the most beautiful scenery on Earth. All would be invited, werewolves, vampires and the mules-without-head. The indigenous myths also attended, among them were the curupiras, the caiporas, the boitatás, and many others. In the Assembly, the witches have decided not to invite the Devil by reason of his immense stench of sulfur and antisocial attitudes, because it requires that all witches you kiss the butt as a way to establish his power absolute debochadamente. The gang bang unfolded when surprise the devil arises between Thunder and lightning, the marginalizante attitude of rabidly angry witches, punishes, transforming them into large stones, which float in sea blue and green waters of the beach Itaguaçu. Hence the name of the place in the indigenous language: ITA = Stone + GUAÇU = Great history of legend Lena Coelho, Peninha, wrote this legend based on the stories of Franklin Cascaes.

  • It was the first place where I went out to meet the night of Florianópolis. I went to a restaurant very charming, if I'm not mistaken, it's called Recanto da Pedra. Is exactly in front of the beach. The restaurant was pretty cool, but what chamaou me most attention were the beautiful stones like landscape and a statue of our Lady of navigators in a cave. Loved it!
