Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web
Blue rough sea, tall rocks, and wild waves for surfing are the trademarks of Morro das Pedras beach. This beach is ideal for experienced surfers, since the waves are fast and powerful. The rocky landscape also provides for a nice photo backdrop as you stroll along the 2 km (6500 ft) of loose sandy beach. The long stretch is a popular place for beach soccer and hiking. The natural beauty of the surrounding will make you feel as if you are in a lush park. It is often a place for whale watching as well. On top of the hill nearby is the Casa de Retiro dos Padres Jesuitas, constructed using the stones from the area, with a viewing platform of the natural surroundings. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Florianopolis holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Morro das Pedras beach and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Wonderful place, preserved, quiet ... great for retreat and meditation ... take a walk and enjoy nature!

  • Very nice beach, but it's not very good for families, high waves, and sand and very thick. Full of holes.

  • Very choppy water, when it arrives, you can see that the waves break against a stone cliff and is really beautiful. In the nose front is the "House of retreat of the Jesuit", a construction made with stones of the place, from where you can enjoy the beach of Armação. There is less infrastructure on these beaches of the South, but a great peace of mind.
