Morro das Pedras beach, Florianopolis
(4.6/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Blue rough sea, tall rocks, and wild waves for surfing are the trademarks of Morro das Pedras beach. This beach is ideal for experienced surfers, since the waves are fast and powerful. The rocky landscape also provides for a nice photo backdrop as you stroll along the 2 km (6500 ft) of loose sandy beach. The long stretch is a popular place for beach soccer and hiking. The natural beauty of the surrounding will make you feel as if you are in a lush park. It is often a place for whale watching as well. On top of the hill nearby is the Casa de Retiro dos Padres Jesuitas, constructed using the stones from the area, with a viewing platform of the natural surroundings. • For me, one of the most beautiful views of Floripa, mainly from the gazebo that sits next to the retreat. The beach is suitable for those who want to surf, but for those who want only good memories of the island, it's worth a stop in via indents to take beautiful pictures.

  • It's one of the points of interest situated in the South of the island, the beach is not very hot, but the location is fantastic.

  • Great to sit on the edge of the beach and reflect a bit, even in winter, it feels pleasant to see those waves breaking to go through there.
