Projeto TAMAR Fernando de Noronha - Patrocínio PETROBRAS, Fernando de Noronha

(4.5/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Projeto TAMAR Fernando de Noronha - Patrocínio PETROBRAS will introduce you to the sea turtle, whose flippers and big eyes are sure to touch your heart. The project began as a research center that studied the behavior of the turtle, but along the way scientists uncovered significant damage from poachers and other habitat destruction. So, the project evolved into a program that preserves sea turtle habitats and educates visitors on habitat preservation. At the visitor’s center, you will see baby turtles propelling themselves through the water in manmade pools as they practice with their flippers. A guide from the center will teach you about the behavior of the sea turtle, which you'll observe in the shell-toting occupants that swim in the protected waters nearby. The habitat also doubles as an aquarium, sheltering shark species and other aquatic life that share the turtles natural habitat. A visit to Projeto TAMAR Fernando de Noronha - Patrocínio PETROBRAS represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Fernando de Noronha trip builder to plot your vacation.

  • Very interesting the project. They explain only in their own language what the project would need to be bi-lingual guide. I could see as they measure and control the turtles carrying a log to see your very nice evolution in Southeast Bay. Honestly not is if is free because had bought the card that you enabled to enter to the beaches and not ask if had that pay something. I presume that is free. If there are jobs in the airport to buy things for help to the project

  • I went to two lectures, one on sea turtles and the other on the spinner Dolphin (mediated by the Spinner Dolphin project). Both were super educational and it was wonderful to meet better the two projects that contribute so much to the maintenance of marine fauna. In addition, there is a store of project products whose profit is fundamental to the maintenance of their activity. Worth the visit!
