Praia do Sueste, Fernando de Noronha

Beach
Enjoy the calm sea and gentle waves at Praia do Sueste, the southeast bay on Fernando do Noronha Island. Rich marine life provides plenty of snorkeling opportunities and three nearby islands await exploration. As one of the main feeding grounds for sea turtles, the area enjoys protection; expect a good deal of seaweed, and designated diving sites. The bay's mangrove forest represents a true rarity, seen nowhere else on an island. Explore the nearby fort, guarding the entrance to the bay where a Dutch squadron landed in 1629. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Fernando de Noronha holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Praia do Sueste and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • East Bay can be considered the best beach to observe sharks and turtles on the island of Fernando de Noronha. Located in the area of protection on the island, you have access to it only if you buy the ticket for access to the National Park area. It is a place not to be missed, with a rich marine life, and you can go without fear, because the sharks won't attack you in any way, as long as you follow the proper recommendations: do not harass and even try to poke the animals and do not enter the water in the forbidden time (normally at 4:00 pm the beach is closed). You must wear a life jacket to float and not stepping on corals (never get up in the middle of the Bay) and always dive to the right side (left side prohibited, reserved for research). There's a good structure in place, with cafeteria, restroom, shower to shower quickly and souvenir shop. The location is the beginning/end of the bus stop. My advice is to hire a guide (usually stay at local) for diving with snorkel, they pull for a buoy with rope and are located with a lot more ease the sharks and turtles ($ 60 for one person and R$40 for each for 2 or more).

  • I saw a lot of marine life and a very beautiful place with infrastructure and should be done with a guide to better pictures.

  • As the site is, you must have paid already at the beginning of your entry in Fernando de Noronha. Is not the permanence rating. Is a rate of preservation of the environment and is paid in a window in the Flamboyant Square in the R$99,00 value and is valid for 10 days, people over 60 years old don't pay but you have to register and get the membership card. This site has a shop, toilets, cafeteria and a place to rent basic diving equipment, vests. Here the Tamar project is present.
