Praia do Cacimba do Padre, Fernando de Noronha

(4.8/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web)
Behold the magnificent Dois Irmãos, two striking “brother” islands of rock protruding from the ocean. Should they look familiar to you it is because they grace the front of many a Fernando de Noronha postcard, but these images pale in comparison to seeing them for real. Enjoy a delicious portion of fish in banana leaves--cooked and sold on the beach--while you marvel at the sight. Praia do Cacimba do Padre is also a surfer’s paradise, with waves considered some of the best in the country, and home to an annual surfing competition. The beach is a known spawning ground of sea turtles, too, so you must follow strict guidelines to not to disturb any nests. You might even get the opportunity to watch eggs hatch. • Is the favourite beach of surfers, a large and pleasant place with beach umbrella for rent and a few places where you can buy something to eat. Along with praia da Conceição, is the beach with the best sunset! And there you also access the wonderful Bay of pigs, on the left side. On the right side, when the tide is low, you can also get to walk on the beach of the goat. If you are not of bugue or get a ride, prepare the walk to the highway, at the bus stop, is a long one, so try to leave before dark (even though there is no danger!)

  • Despite the people prefer the Sancho and the beach location. Good infrastructure and great place to rest. It's not crowded.

  • This beach is too much for both surfing and those wishing to bathe in the sea, as long as you observe the timetables of low tide and high tide. In fact, this beach provides access to the Bay of pigs, paradisiacal location, accessible at low tide
