Museu do Tubarao, Fernando de Noronha

The displays of ferocious-looking jaws, spines, and photographs leave a lasting impression as you brush up on your knowledge of sharks at Museu do Tubarao. The small museum explains the characteristics and behaviors of various species--those mainly found in the waters around the archipelago--along with some more general facts about the formidable predators. The museum is located on the coast of Fernando de Noronha, and you can often catch sight of small sharks in the cove below. Nautically themed sculptures and relics complement the exhibition, as does the restaurant serving up traditional recipes. Try the “bolinho de tubalhau”, a delicious shark meat dumpling popular with the locals. At the museum itself, there's not much ... runs a souvenir shop and have some shark arcades exposed ... The sculptures on the outside are great for pictures and poses. But the tip is, if you want to make a meal a little more into account, the Museum's restaurant offers! It's not a mega-type food prepared, is simpler, but it reduces a little injury..

The Museum has some carcasses of shark tooth and has a restaurant that no longer fit the famous tubalhau due to many complaints about the extinction of sharks. but it's worth a visit for the beautiful view of the beach.

Fernando de Noronha has so many tourist attractions, but the shark Museum is, without doubt, one of the most interesting. Worth every minute. The lectures on the ocean, the wind, the Moon, the marine life, care for the surroundings and the restaurant very well managed. Fine cuisine and great service. Shaymaa and Leo van Heerden are to be congratulated for caring that demonstrate in the details.

Where to stay in Fernando de Noronha

The bad news is that, if you're on a budget, your trip to Fernando de Noronha might be starting to look a whole lot more expensive than you'd planned. Accommodations on the remote archipelago are understandably expensive, as all food and supplies have to be specially shipped in. All lodgings are on the largest island, Fernando de Noronha, which is the only one permanently inhabited in the archipelago. The majority of options consist of guesthouses and boutique hotels concentrated in the center of Vila dos Remédios, the island's town. However, look a bit farther outside of town and you can find some excellent eco-resorts and beachside accommodations.
