Enseada da Caieira, Fernando de Noronha

(4.7/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Enseada da Caieira has recently been discovered by tourists, who describe the bay and its beach covered with black pebbles as nothing short of paradise. Long used almost exclusively by just a few locals, this small cove is off the beaten track, and is a protected environmental area situated inside a large marine national park. You must be accompanied by an accredited guide when visiting this location. Guides are easily found anywhere on the island, but it is best to enquire at your hotel or tourist agency. Swimming is forbidden here due to rough seas, but you can visit the cove’s numerous rock pools, formed over 1 million years ago by a now dormant volcano. • Beautiful place, next to the Hole of Rachel and in front of the Muse of the shark. You can meet many interesting and beautiful places together. Bathing is not allowed. Super recommend.

  • Where sharks small shelter, at high tide, larger predators. Beautiful view, but you have to win some obstacles.

  • I did this with my wife and 7-year-old daughter. We did the trail called tip of Caieira. We had the opportunity to enter in two natural pools, one at each end of the beach. To get her to hire the services of a ACITUR Guide, whose headquarters are there in the TAMAR. She comes from the same place as the Atalaia trail but follows in the opposite direction. The trail is a little heavy on the bottom (on the beach) there are many rocks and walk about one or 2 hours on them. The look is amazing. Wonderful! The natural pools are true aquariums. Had almost everything: colorful fish, as the surgeon, blue surgeon, mariquita, xira, maiden, maiden, rocas budião de Noronha, parrot fish, various corals etc. We also saw an Octopus and a lemon shark. Was awesome! Thanks very worthwhile. The trail is a little heavy but the natural pools provide an excellent reward for the effort.
