Enseada da Caieira, Fernando de Noronha

4.7
#15 of 19 in Beaches in Fernando de Noronha
Enseada da Caieira has recently been discovered by tourists, who describe the bay and its beach covered with black pebbles as nothing short of paradise. Long used almost exclusively by just a few locals, this small cove is off the beaten track, and is a protected environmental area situated inside a large marine national park. You must be accompanied by an accredited guide when visiting this location. Guides are easily found anywhere on the island, but it is best to enquire at your hotel or tourist agency. Swimming is forbidden here due to rough seas, but you can visit the cove’s numerous rock pools, formed over 1 million years ago by a now dormant volcano. We went to this beach accompanied by the Guide Alexander, great person, best customer service that I received on the island. Recommend if the trail do with Alexandre Guide. Need to make an appointment before.

Cove of the Caieiras is next to the Museum of the shark, Raquel hole. That's where it ends the long trail of Atalaia. Making the long trail Watchtower you can bathe in two natural pools. Hire guides (the Bank) directly. Hired by the Flymboant restaurant, but with addition of 50 reais (final value 130 reais per person).

It's a long trail that is mandatory the presence of guide and authorization. Lasts from 4 to 5 hours and has 3700 meters. Part of the way, it's the same track of Atalaia, splitting up after. It's good to have fitness but visual compensates for any effort. It's very on top of volcanic stones. Is super important to go with a good tennis, you don't slip. I don't think it's advisable for children to have some slippery rocks. Begins in the village of 30 and ends on the beach Caieiras, near the port. The view is beautiful with breathtaking landscapes. The variety of fish in natural pools is amazing. To enter the swimming pools is required use of vest, mask and snorkel.

Where to stay in Fernando de Noronha

The bad news is that, if you're on a budget, your trip to Fernando de Noronha might be starting to look a whole lot more expensive than you'd planned. Accommodations on the remote archipelago are understandably expensive, as all food and supplies have to be specially shipped in. All lodgings are on the largest island, Fernando de Noronha, which is the only one permanently inhabited in the archipelago. The majority of options consist of guesthouses and boutique hotels concentrated in the center of Vila dos Remédios, the island's town. However, look a bit farther outside of town and you can find some excellent eco-resorts and beachside accommodations.
