Buraco da Raquel, Fernando de Noronha

(3.4/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
A visit to Buraco da Raquel is more of an interesting historical experience than your typical day spent at the beach. The name literally translates to “hole of Raquel” referring to a large rock with a hole in it, carrying a certain legend with it, which the guides will tell you about. Since it is an environmental conservation area, you actually are not able to go swimming nor get to close to the rock Go there for the story, the views, and the experience and then take a trip to the nearby Shark Museum. Put Buraco da Raquel and other Fernando de Noronha attractions into our Fernando de Noronha vacation planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The place has a beautiful story of Rachel. Is not accessible for preservation. Is seen in the distance. Everything in Noronha is very worthwhile seeing.

  • It's a nice place, but I don't think it's worth the visit. In Noronha there are many other interesting points.

  • The shark Museum, Museum/restaurant, you will find a beautiful landscape and the historic hole of Rachel (a crack in the rock, surrounded by sea so blue that even hurts).
