Boldro Beacch, Fernando de Noronha

4.7
#10 of 19 in Beaches in Fernando de Noronha
The crystalline tidal pools at Boldro Beacch are perfect for bathing, and if you have a snorkel, you will see a wonderful array of marine life beneath the surface. At high tide they become submerged, and swimming is advised against. However, you can watch experienced surfers ride the 5 m (16 ft) waves the tide brings, from the safety of the fine, golden beach. You will find just one restaurant on the sand, serving fresh seafood, but for something a little more special head up the cliff to São Pedro do Boldró Fort, built during the 16th century. Here you can enjoy a delicious meal while you watch a most spectacular sunset. • Excellent and very hot Beach, beautiful sunsets, it's worth it! There Gerson's Bar with snacks and drinks, great caipirinhas. There is also the activity of capturing turtles, the Tamar project, inform yourself of the days and times.

  • I was there to see the capture of turtles by projeto Tamar. It was a pretty amazing activity. There is also the bar House of Gerson, pleasant place with delicious snacks. If it was on foot, it's worth trying a ride up the pirambeira back, or ask the Gerson call a cab. Bikes and buggies make a difference here.

  • It's not as trendy as Sancho or Bay of pigs, but for me it is one of the best. The sunset from the water, the tip of the beach next to the stones is fantastic. With the sun setting on the side of the two brothers. It is more exclusive than the mirante do boldro (a lot of people and with surround sound). Not to be missed

Where to stay in Fernando de Noronha

The bad news is that, if you're on a budget, your trip to Fernando de Noronha might be starting to look a whole lot more expensive than you'd planned. Accommodations on the remote archipelago are understandably expensive, as all food and supplies have to be specially shipped in. All lodgings are on the largest island, Fernando de Noronha, which is the only one permanently inhabited in the archipelago. The majority of options consist of guesthouses and boutique hotels concentrated in the center of Vila dos Remédios, the island's town. However, look a bit farther outside of town and you can find some excellent eco-resorts and beachside accommodations.
