Rua 24 Horas, Curitiba

2.3
#12 of 24 in Shopping in Curitiba
A glassy, covered street in the center of Curitiba, Rua 24 Horas possesses a quaint, cosmopolitan quality that makes it stand out from its surroundings. A colorful clock watches over the street’s entrance, while the impressive roof consists of 32 arches, and was designed by architects Abram Assad, Celia Bim, and Simone Soares. Serving only pedestrian traffic and dedicated entirely to shopping, the street underwent a makeover that was completed in 2011. • Despite the name being 24 Hours today, for security reasons, work till 22/11:00 pm. Are 18 stores operating in 116m Street extension, very charming. At the end of the street with your exclusive 24-hour clock (there are even more restaurants, a bistro and a copier that prints out everything with the most varied types of paper. I like to walk and sit and enjoy the movement. The street gives to a shopping arcade, where there's a store that sells products for crafts, painting, canvas, paints, etc. that fascinates me! Every time I go to Curitiba, will enjoy the street 24 hours, eat a cake or a sweet there and enter the Everest shopping centre to see what's new in the store I mentioned. I love this creative leisure.

  • Many options for eating and drinking, I took a coffee at Caffè Gourmet, a Luongo, perfect if you never came to Curitiba, Deserves a passadinha there to eat, drink or for a simple coffee

  • Historically it was one of the first places with 24-hour service in the country, but today only works until the 10:00 pm (some stores only until 9:00 pm). Even so, offers several options of food and some shops and shopping options, in particular because it has access to everest center. It is worth visiting, take pictures (the architectural project and the 12:00 am are iconic clock) and get some food (pastries, pizza, hamburgers, snacks, chocolates, drinks etc.).

  • A good place to start or finish a walking tour of the city centre of Curitiba. Some variety of foods and services available.
  • Could be much better and by the way, it's not 24 hours. Restaurants close at around 1 in the morning
  • lovely place, with some ok options to eatand to shop.
  • Nice place to eat, good prices, and good energy
  • Downtown place with many restaurants and little stores. Heart of Curitiba.

Where to stay in Curitiba

Wherever you choose to stay in the city, you'll be able to get from place to place on your Curitiba itinerary in a breeze, thanks to the rapid bus transit system. Most higher-end hotels sit in or very close to the city center, especially along the pedestrianized main street of Rua XV de Novembro. Stay here if you want quick access to the best shopping strip in town. You can look slightly out of the center, in the neighborhoods of Batel and Seminário, to mingle with the city's posh crowd. Curitiba's continuing growth in popularity with younger tourists means you can now find any number of budget youth hostels, mainly concentrated in the center and inner suburbs.
