Passeio Publico, Curitiba

(3.2/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Built on top of a lagoon, Passeio Publico was considered an important urban development in the 18th century because it replaced a body of water that was a hotbed of disease due to its insect population.  Master Valentim designed the park with passion and care. The stunning Roccoco gates still stand at the park’s entrance while much of the interior's original plan is still intact. Two fountains take center stage: Fonte dos Amores and Fonte dos Jacarés. Valentim also added a number of bronze sculptures mimicking nature throughout the park. In the 19th century, Auguste François Marie Glaziou was commissioned to give the park an update. However, he opted to keep the statuary and simply converted the restrictive design of the flora into a more natural arrangement for the Romantic era. • very quiet place, good for photos, tours, hiking, rest in the shadows of the trees, always.

  • A place where people of all ages can interact with tranquility and observing nature in its most varied forms of local flora and fauna. It's a little unkempt and could be much more frequented as laser area of the city of Curitiba.

  • First City Park, the promenade is still an interesting attraction. With lagos nurseries of animals (especially birds) and an interesting landscaping, is a trip back in time. Valley ride a paddle boat, eat some corn, feel kid again. Secure

  • It's a good place to go for a walk or run. There are many indigenous species on show there, most of them rescued from illegal export. There is also the possibility of going for a pedalo ride or have a churrasco near the water. Great place for an afternoon!
  • Lugar legal mas meio abandonado
  • Great city park, with a selection of birds (parrots, Tucans, etc.), a small area of aquariums, some ponds and with free entrance.
  • Great for running or cycling. It is surrounded by trees. Even under hot days this is a good place to go.
  • Lembranças felizes de infância... Agora Pokemon GO..
