Parque Barigui, Curitiba

(4.7/5 based on 5,500+ reviews on the web)
Besides refuge for animals, Parque Barigui is also a natural preservation area within the city limits that offers many activities and opportunities to connect with the locals. You and your family can stay active with amenities including fitness equipment, paddle boats, playing fields, trails, skating rink, and a BMX track. An onsite bistro serves lunch and dinner, or you can cook your own food at one of the park's grills. The native forest surrounding the lake (formed by a dam) is rich in flora and fauna, like orchids and 200 species of birds.

As you approach the lake, you may catch a glimpse of the Barigüi alligator who sunbathes on the lake's shore--but there's no need to worry because this reptile has never bothered any visitors during its lifetime in the park. The grounds provide a home for the Automobile Museum, a Steam Train Station, an exhibition park, an amusement park, and a helipad where you can charter a lift in a helicopter. • More Park for those looking for picnics, jogging and walking. Good to go with our animals, family and spend a Sunday afternoon.

  • A tip is in the morning on weekends, because in the afternoon is unbearable. Definitely a good place to run and practice physical activities.

  • A beautiful park, very well located and Nice. Has a large pond full of bridges, places to do gymnastics, and cycling race track, a lot of people rollerblading, strolling. Familiar place to spend a leisure day. There's plenty of room to relax, picnic. You don't see homeless around town or the parks. Next to the parking lot, there's room for rent and electric bike has the Automobile Museum. My fiance and I were staying at the Quality Hotel in Batel, where provide bicycles for guests. Just found it tiring route to the Park, because it has many climbs. But it was worth it!
