  • It's always good to visit museums and cultural centers. We were fortunate to see an exhibition of Sebastiao Salgado, very beautiful!

  • Rainy day and nothing better than going to the Museum, chose the Oscar Niemeyer and we were fortunate to catch the Curitiba Biennale with very interesting works, as well as other temporary exhibitions distributed in the various spaces of this museum. The architecture itself is already worth the ida, there is a large collection on the life and works of Oscar Niemeyer. All very well organized. Be sure to visit the "eye". Input prices fair. The Museum Shop is well diversified with tasteful items, but accessible to few. Next, a very nice place for lunch and/or coffee. Secured parking.

  • Quite a nice place to visit if you're sightseeing. We went on a Sunday afternoon and entrance was free. The surroundings of the museum are also quite good. On that day e were surprised by the fact that at the garden of the museum a lot of citizens were roaming with their pets
  • It is an amazing place to visit and take your beloved ones together. It has got plenty of paintings and sculptures there. I got a free ticket on my visit day. It is worth the visit, always.
  • An amazing building! Oscar Niemeyer is one of the best architects in the world. He has contributed a lot the the evolution of the building around the world!
  • It's easy to get there using Linha Turismo. We got off the bus to visit that great example of modern architecture. It is easy to get on the next bus later on, as they leave every 30 minutes.
  • A must see if you visit Curitiba! Nice exibition! 1- 2h minimum needed to see the most of it.

Where to stay in Curitiba

Wherever you choose to stay in the city, you'll be able to get from place to place on your Curitiba itinerary in a breeze, thanks to the rapid bus transit system. Most higher-end hotels sit in or very close to the city center, especially along the pedestrianized main street of Rua XV de Novembro. Stay here if you want quick access to the best shopping strip in town. You can look slightly out of the center, in the neighborhoods of Batel and Seminário, to mingle with the city's posh crowd. Curitiba's continuing growth in popularity with younger tourists means you can now find any number of budget youth hostels, mainly concentrated in the center and inner suburbs.
