Garden Nature / Park
As you pass through the entryway gates at Jardim Botanico de Curitiba, you'll see the unmistakable Art Nouveau greenhouse that resembles the 19th-century Crystal Palace in London. Fountains, ponds, and waterfalls intersperse the gardens planted in French style. Tropical plants, many of which are rare, reside in the greenhouse alongside palms and native plants. The Botanic Museum provides a collection of native flora and botanical species from the Atlantic forests, which attracts researchers from all around the world.

Strolling along the paths brings you past native forest trees, gardens with native flowers, and 114 sculptural works, like "A Mãe" (The Mother). The Museum of Franz Krajcberg behind the greenhouse features the artist's collection and other artistic works including sculptures, art, and reliefs, as well as publications, photographs, educational materials, and videos. Walking across the wooden bridge towards the other side of the park brings you to the large herbarium in the Botanical Museum housed in a timber building. Surrounding the building is a lake, a library, an auditorium, a theater, an exposition area, tennis courts, and a cycling track, to name a few of the attractions. Children especially love to peer into the pond out front to identify carp, herons, teal, and turtles. Where to stay in Curitiba

Wherever you choose to stay in the city, you'll be able to get from place to place on your Curitiba itinerary in a breeze, thanks to the rapid bus transit system. Most higher-end hotels sit in or very close to the city center, especially along the pedestrianized main street of Rua XV de Novembro. Stay here if you want quick access to the best shopping strip in town. You can look slightly out of the center, in the neighborhoods of Batel and Seminário, to mingle with the city's posh crowd. Curitiba's continuing growth in popularity with younger tourists means you can now find any number of budget youth hostels, mainly concentrated in the center and inner suburbs.

  • Excellent park. The Botanical Garden is quiet and slows down a typical working day. It's extensive so you can walk a while and spend an hour or so from side to side and on inner areas. It is finely and very well maintained by keeping all areas clean with short grass and superb tidy trails. It has a great garden and landscape design. The admission is free.
  • One of the most beautiful park in Curitiba. The place has a good conservation. Green areas and places to seat Down and admire the view.
  • Beautiful landscape whenever you go. Colourful flowers and greenery. Relaxing place.
  • Best place ever! Pretty clean and organized! Enjoyed so much, love Curitiba!
  • An icon of Curitiba's city just like its many public park and places. You can spend easily one hour here just walking around to see the well-mainted garder and the greenhouse. It's usually crownded. You can get here easily by bus, so if u r taking the sightseeing i recommend that u visit here by your own instead of using one of the four drops u have when you buy the ticket. Enjoy there. Curitiba is very pleasant city to visit.
