Among all the pottery that I visited in the city, the Gaia was the one that introduced more tools for everyday use at home. The others were a lot of decoration. Their style I also found it quite original. The attraction was the opening of the oven. If you are a person who likes stories and don't know much about ceramics, will probably love the experience. During burning they tell the story about the origin of pottery and Raku, and there is a cocktail (simple but very good!). Together are worth enough to shame the program! As it's not often that make the opening of the oven, it's worth a call to find out about the dates (the next is scheduled for September 9).

The pieces are beautiful and very tasteful. We were delighted, both for the ceramic works as by the Wagner Guambaré. We bought some beautiful pieces for fair prices. Go to the Valley Studio Gaia.

Worth seeing the incandescent ceramic be removed from oven, close to 1000° C translucida temperature.

Where to stay in Cunha

A smattering of accommodations exists in the main urban area of the city, with family-run pousadas (guesthouses) and basic hotels the main options for visitors. Because so much of the city's tourism relies on its surrounding areas of green hills and rocky gorges, take a look at the options along the main road, Rod. Paulo Virginio. The north-south road stretches out into the wilder parts of the region and is dotted with interesting and comfortable accommodations, including boutique pousadas, cabins, campsites, and rental villas.
