Mark, the owner, is a fine connaisseur (expert) of national and international wines, knowing even guide the best combinations between courses and types of wines. Although not wine cellar has a large stock of origins and brands, for being a small family business, one can make a good choice at fair prices between national wines, French, Italians, Portuguese, Spaniards, Chileans, Argentines and Americans.

All stone cellar and heated swimming-pool, great labels with fair prices, old and new world wines, have a sommelier who tells the history and origin of the winery. Great shop can buy and take the wine or open it in the restaurant on the ground floor

The Wedge is a Cellar restaurant has a substantial wine cellar in the basement. In specific dates promoting tastings, courses and harmonization, but on the day I was there, unfortunately, was not special event date. The wine cellar can be visited, just ask the waiter, there are wines priced from 80 R$, from various grapes and various locations around the world. But not only Wine Cellar lives, there is also possible to experience the local craft beer Teixeira ´ 's which is very good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant and suitable to wedge cold night.

Where to stay in Cunha

A smattering of accommodations exists in the main urban area of the city, with family-run pousadas (guesthouses) and basic hotels the main options for visitors. Because so much of the city's tourism relies on its surrounding areas of green hills and rocky gorges, take a look at the options along the main road, Rod. Paulo Virginio. The north-south road stretches out into the wilder parts of the region and is dotted with interesting and comfortable accommodations, including boutique pousadas, cabins, campsites, and rental villas.
