Where to stay in Cuiaba

As a busy state capital and a major hub of commerce, Cuiaba provides a good selection of mostly mid-range hotels catering to budget visitors. Truly luxurious hotels are a rarity here, but you can choose from many decent establishments offering clean, bright rooms. Look for accommodations near downtown to stay close to the best shopping, dining, and entertainment options. For a more authentic visit, check out the city's pousadas (guesthouses), which often occupy one or more floors inside restored historical buildings.

  • Excellent tourist spot of Cuiabá. Features workshops with various activities (painting, cooking, cinema, cultural), pub, live music and a library with books on the history of Mato Grosso. On Thursdays hold a gastronomic fair (bulixo) with lots of food and juices delicious brazilian cuisine. When will I take friends and family, because the environment is great to chat and relax. PS. Bulixo (Gastronomic Fair) takes place every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm approximately.

  • The part of handicrafts is very good, but the diner has left something to be desired: two times he had already finished the rice cake and the attendant isn't very nice.
