Casa do Artesao is a charming colonial-era structure close to downtown with excellent varied regional handicraft and souvenirs for sale. The items are made of great quality at reasonable prices. There is also a small craft museum downstairs. You can purchase and delight in specially crafted candy and sweets, as well. Try the rice balls and the natural juice in the cafeteria.   • A place that created by former first lady of the State Lígia Garcia, to encourage the artisans, with the exhibition and sale of their products, today led by Sesc, run entirely on initial goal, with aid to artisans because they are putting profit margin on the values charged.

  • Old and restored mansion that once belonged to an important figure of the State and served as a school, after a while Without restoration, today is a cultural and artistic centre that is very worthwhile visit and meet, see examples of culture and crafts of Mato Grosso. Free admission and free samples of food, exhibitions and sale of copies of works of art produced by local artists.

  • Atento aos grandes talentos artísticos que Mato Grosso tem para oferecer ao Brasil e ao mundo, o Sesc apresenta aos visitantes o melhor do artesanato mato-grossense na Casa do Artesão. Fundada em 1975 pela iniciativa da Sra. Maria Lígia Garcia, então 1ª Dama do Estado, localiza-se em um prédio tombado pelo patrimônio histórico, onde, no início do século passado, funcionava o Grupo escolar Senador Azeredo. Espaços: As antigas salas de aula hoje apresentam os diversos segmentos de artesanato destacando o artesanato em madeira com lindas peças esculpidas, marchetadas, trabalho com cipós e com fibra de tucumã entre outros. A sala de tecelagem apresenta trabalhos como as redes mato-grossenses, xales, caminhos de mesa e tapetes. Outras salas trazem dignas mostras do melhor trabalho indígena e biojóias, com a rica gama das sementes da região. As encantadoras cerâmicas, juntamente com os deliciosos doces e compotas feitos pelas doceiras regionais também são presença forte no Sesc Casa do Artesão.
