  • Located opposite the Praça da República, the Cathedral Basilica of Bom Jesus de Cuiabá is a modern building, of 1973, and which was marked by controversy. The Church that existed before her, exactly in the same place, was completely demolished to make way for the current. The speech of the time was that the "old" represented the old and "new" represented modern. Polemics aside, the Cathedral is quite large, high, has two towers and two watches, which are seen from afar.

  • A classic of architecture in Cuiabá. Built in 1722 by using construction technique called "pau-a-pique", Cathedral Basilica of Senhor Bom Jesus de Cuiabá has undergone several renovations and reconstructions throughout its century-old history, until the present day with its impressive infrastructure. Located in the heart of the village green, opposite the Republic square in the city centre. Obligatory stop for tourists and lovers of beautiful religious buildings. The Church is surrounded by several other points of interest, which can be easily accessed on foot. The location do much for tourists who rely on public transportation. Mass schedule: Sunday: 7:00, 9:00, 17:00, 19:00 Monday: Tuesday: 18:30 6:30, 18:30 6:30, Wednesday: Thursday: 18:30 6:30, 18:30 Friday: 6:30, 18:30:6:30, Saturday 18:30
