Very cool this museum gives couple leave well informed about the history of the region and the city beyond the State of MS a chance to find out a lot of stuff that's not in the textbooks, and who is from the State, a great chance to get to know their own history, which is beautiful and very rich. Don't let go, especially the Museum needs money, and worth a lot keep it and help you, because the importance is tremendous. In college I studied a fossil that only exists in this Museum, something very important to science as a whole, and that is deposited there, many books of paleontology depict such fossil, and it was very nice to be able to see it live and in color. Make sure you know, a beautiful work done by very qualified and very available, all on voluntarism.

The Museum tells the rich history of the region of the Pantanal and the border with Bolivia, admission free from Tuesday to Sunday afternoon. Worth it for the quality and quantity of information available, quietly worth two visits for best enjoyment. On top of the Museum lies in the region of Porto Geral de Corumbá, site with a good square on the front and a beautiful view of the River Paraguay.

Where to stay in Corumba

The main grid of side streets that lies just south of the Paraguay river provides Corumba with its greatest range of accommodations. Here, choose from hotels both simple and upmarket, with many rooms offering views of the water and the wetlands beyond. Move south of this area for the town's budget options, where hostels and pousadas (guesthouses) cater to those wishing to spend most of their time exploring the wetlands. For lower cost lodgings and a view of the wetlands, take a look along Avenida Rio Branco, the main strip heading east out of the town center, nestled up to the river.
