  • A rum, a conversation with Nando keys and the day goes by and we don't see. Very good, I recommend to all.

  • When we visited Tiradentes, we take a time to visit Colonel Xavier keys and the Alembic Cachaça 18TH Century, entitled to prove new and renew the stock. On Saturdays the visitation has the chat Nando keys and family, proving the various types of booze available and the hound-dog on the plate. Nando, fictional character in the BBC "Blessed" GNT, Marv teaches the "levitate without focus" and we can laugh. This time we arrived a little late and the people had left, but don't we still hang out and renew the stock. As far as to who likes history and culture. To get there, just take the dirt road to Ritápolis (old road of Ritápolis): the Cachaçaria is right at the beginning, downhill to the right, just over 300 metres of the street of the city.

  • This " engenho " produces diferent types of cachaça and they have a history in this typical Brazilian drink. The first owner is related to Tiradentes himself and it has always been a family business. ...  more »

  • I visited while in Tiradentes, cachaçaria is more or less 35 minutes of Tiradentes drive. Wonderful place, the owners are very friendly, I went on a Saturday and had a tasting of cachaça and sausage with Pepper Jelly pout, the owners explained the entire production process. The cachaça is made with organic cane sugar produced in the same place, also bought organic beans there. The site produces rum for 300 years, and in spite of having to adapt to new laws of hygiene, changing rock storage tanks for steel, the rum is the best I've ever tasted, I highly recommend the tour!!

  • The owner, Fernando Xavier explained the whole process, from planting until the bottling, left us to experience various kinds of cachaça, excellent ride for who is passing through the region

  • Secular tradition. The original condition of the old building, circa 1712. From father to son since 1745 (circa).

  • I visited the cachaçaria for over 10 years and from what I remember she really still worked, in part, in the traditional way. Today, only the construction, from what I've seen, is traditional. But I don't know much about cachaca and I'm not a good judge. From what I understand there's no aging in wooden cask, but rather of steel. But the information is not available to visitors, you must ask the person serving tasting. The I made and bought to bring, in 2002, the salty, price seemed very good.
