Parque Estadual de Itaunas, Conceicao da Barra

(4.6/5 based on 130 reviews on the web)
Unspoiled nature and dunes of soft sand surround Parque Estadual de Itaunas, a conservation area giving shelter to hundreds of species of exotic plant and animal life. The park’s great biodiversity is scattered over a landscape of forests, marshes, mangroves, salt marshes, wetlands, and several pristine beaches. Scientist working in this area aim to protect and catalog the various species living in this fragile ecosystem, which UNESCO declared a World Heritage Site in 1991. Though this park covers over 25 kilometers (15 mi) of coastline, just 5 kilometers (3 mi) can be accessed by the public. In this area you can learn about the native wildlife, hike the nearby trails, or enjoy a quiet sunset on the beach. • Terrible customer service, there is no transport for people with mobility difficulties to go to the beaches, are forced to climb the sand dunes for the tents.

  • Very large park with plenty of preservation. The dunes are large and difficult to access. Worth the path of Tamandaré by shadow.

  • Is for those who enjoy nature, has available to venture out and then wants to rest on the network to the forró and reggae sound. The sunset seen from the top of the dunes is a show! High yields pictures!! The beach is not tame, but gives in. The water is warm. The canoe ride across the River in the late afternoon Itaúnas is relaxing and the landscape, beautiful. The trail of Tamandaré has a natural tunnel which surprises. Handicraft and local folklore draw attention. The restaurants are good, but the prices, salted. Anyway, it's worth checking the village!
