Parque Estadual de Itaunas, Conceicao da Barra

(4.5/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Unspoiled nature and dunes of soft sand surround Parque Estadual de Itaunas, a conservation area giving shelter to hundreds of species of exotic plant and animal life. The park’s great biodiversity is scattered over a landscape of forests, marshes, mangroves, salt marshes, wetlands, and several pristine beaches. Scientist working in this area aim to protect and catalog the various species living in this fragile ecosystem, which UNESCO declared a World Heritage Site in 1991. Though this park covers over 25 kilometers (15 mi) of coastline, just 5 kilometers (3 mi) can be accessed by the public. In this area you can learn about the native wildlife, hike the nearby trails, or enjoy a quiet sunset on the beach. • Itaúnas State Park is a magical place and with great access being about just 272km of Vila Velha. Park is very well taken care of what surprised me was the fact that the water to be hot ultramente remembering waters of northeastern Brazil. Had a very large bias with the region before visiting to know I was delighted, surprised by the charming beauty! See and know this place really worth!

  • We walk the trails, but no guide. Recommend enough sunscreen, insect repellent, sneakers, hat and carry water
