  • Situated in the city centre, was inaugurated on 25 August 1981 with the goal of honoring the early pioneers who settled and built the city. Created by artist Paul de Siqueira, shows a picture of a Gaucho wielding a hatchet, symbolizing the work. On her left hand is a blond symbolizing the parrots of the region. The monument has fourteen metres high, 5.70 meters wide and weighs nine tonnes. The work is a calling card and identification point of the city. At the base of the monument, is the Memorial to Paul de Siqueira.

  • Beautiful monument and one of the main symbols of the city of Chapecó. Beyond the imposing statue, has a museum annex at the base of the monument that is worth a visit too.
