Cantina Tonet Winery, Caxias Do Sul

During the grape harvest (January to March), Cantina Tonet Winery welcomes visitors to their vineyard to learn about the wine production process. Witness the journey of the grapes from vine to bottle, and even have a go yourself at extracting the juice from the grapes the traditional way--using you feet!--as passed down from generation to generation by the Tonet family, who first arrived in Brazil, from Italy, in 1897. At the end of the tour, visitors are offered the chance to purchase some Cantina Tonet wine straight from the source, at a discounted price, of course. • Family Winery, plain and simple. Owner super nice and humble. He was the one who led the tasting ... I was delighted with the vines, approved the wines. I bought some to bring!

  • The purpose of taking my son to visit the Maria Fumaça train, immersed myself in this false advertising called grape and wine tour. The Brocker takes us right to a winery, this one, Faces, in the way the guide speaks several times that we should do "tasting and degastação", I thought it was just a futile attempt to be funny, but no, it's a trap, uva has nothing! Explain, there coming an officer saying "master winemaker" gets us close to the vines for about 5 minutes, and takes us to the warehouse where plays the 2 grape juice, and alcoholic products which has 18, and eagerness to convince that you have to consume wine says atrocities, the most pure pseudoscience, such as: only 200 ml every day won't make anyone an alcoholic, has to take the wine because it is he who has resveratrol (when you know that the juice also has, and without the damage of alcohol that wine contains!), and tried to speak of neurons and called the dendrites of debris, anyway, neither knew, nor knew how to extract the juice, nor how to make the wine, because the room where he spent processing away, no mention of the grape variety, or soil, or what interferes with the taste of the grape ... a shame ... The most interesting thing of the winery was a RAM of water running, right there in front, I've only seen one on the globe. ... All this for over 1 hour of pure boredom for me, and for the children who were there and had already surpassed the swing and a few toys in the property. Questioned about the excessive time spent in this place, the guide of Brocker justified my dissatisfaction asking if I didn't like wine. Personally I think it's really bad when companies agree to seeking their common interests, oblivious to the public's interest that should be the target, we were like sheep being just changed from pasture.

  • Wonderful visit! With a small little class about wine-making with the expert and then tasting her. There was so much wine to sample invoice, that if I took all couldn't find my tour bus lol Loved to visit and recommend too much!

  • The service is bad, even very abused by an employee. The owner is very welcoming and polite, but the others ... Do not recommend! Not to mention that we pay for juices and wines tasting and not capitalize because it had a lot of people at the counter, as we were with kids, could not get close. The juice (singular arcs) is over and nobody opened another, or on request. It was horrible, I don't recommend even.

  • We did the tour of the tour of Maria fumaça. There were brief explanations about the wines and tastings the will of many choices of wines, which is very good, haha! Aren't the best we had, but they're really, really good. Prices varied.

  • The local owner Mr Ivo (otherwise I'm wrong) is very nice and attentive. Told the story of the family of the products with the greatest kindness and good humor. Our wines, juices and sparkling wine in the best possible way. We love the location and we recommend everyone. We bought several wines and sparkling wines. Note 10!

  • The place is very inviting and the Matheus was without equal. We then enjoyed several labels and he had patience to explain all the peculiarities of each. We know the planting and the production process. In addition, Mr. Ivo, owner of an exemplary humility, chatted with us and invited us to participate in the next harvest.
