  • Every town needs a landmark to be recognized. Castrolanda has your. The mill is very beautiful. Well positioned, with the look and its dimensions; of architectural good taste; befitting the colony; iconic. It is a new building built as a Museum and it follows the same line of respect the beauty and European standards of quality and design. The set of both indicates clearly the potential that the place has tourism case keep this profile prissy. Missing two or three similar places. A hotel, a set of shops. Nothing unthinkable, since it would generate income and employment. However, and my but is great, as everywhere in Brazil, with the exception of Lawn, there is always someone that resolves merge immigrant or European architecture with the features typically Brazilian. Nothing against, since it adapts perfectly to the climate, the economy and materials here. But to see it, I can choose another 5000 cities. I could say I have an aesthetic of Paraná, wasn't a single, however very visible problem, a new hotel next to the Museum. He does not follow the lines of the two buildings (and the colony itself) and is in a prominent position. A pity that the master plan does not worry about it. Predinhos of concrete wall, how baixinhos Shoebox and monotonous, there are thousands of them in every city the country's common. Should be based on any small Dutch village and not in the environment, because the environment is common in the eyes. Keep the pattern can make the city unique and really attractive. A "landmarck" they already have, the beautiful mill and are to be congratulated for it.

  • Although the indications to reach the site, from Castro are sparse (almost nonexistent) the site is indispensible for those visiting the region. The mill is beautiful, everything is very organized and has complete information about the Dutch culture.

  • Mill space lies on Paraná, a community made up of descendants of Dutch and forming an agricultural cooperative. It's about 15 min from the Centre.
