Tabatinga Beach, Caraguatatuba

#9 of 19 in Parks in Caraguatatuba
Beach Nature / Park
Somewhat underdeveloped, Tabatinga Beach offers “secret” spots such as a place for mud baths on a path leading off the beach. The sea is calm and clean, but sometimes there is boat traffic. The beach itself is quiet and clean, but does not provide much in terms of infrastructure, so bring your own water and refreshments. • All beaches in Brazil are amazing, but this one is one of my favourites ever. Nice tranquil waters, clean, lovely fluffy sands and a lot of friends to make.  more »
  • Excellent choice for those travelling with children to the beach! The sea is calm on this beach! You just need to be careful as it is on this beach the boats embark and disembark from the sea. Which is also a plus as there are a lot of option of renting a beautiful boat and stroll through the beautiful islands of the region. The beach is clean and very hot!

  • Tranquil beach ideal for families, what bothered me was movement of barges and boats, with children who've been think dangerous.

Where to stay in Caraguatatuba

As you'd expect, the beach is the place to stay in Caraguatatuba. A multitude of hotels and beach resorts line the curved coastline, most of them with swimming pools and a range of other creature comforts. Look along Avenue Dr Artur Costa Filho for easiest access to the city's largest and most iconic beach. For budget accommodations, look inland to the neighborhood of Prainha. On its narrow streets you'll find an abundance of small guesthouses offering competitive prices, and they're still only a few minutes' walk from a palm-lined beach.
