  • Several details the locations and rebuild materials found in the region during the construction of the hydroelectric plant Xingó. Archaeology and many maps, models reconstruct the environment of the time

  • The Museum is on the way to the boat ride on the Lake of Xingó and keeps the history of the area flooded by the waters of the old Chico. The University of Sergipe had a time limit, before the flooding, to be out in the field collecting materials and ancient bones. The Museum shows what life was like in the region hundreds of years ago. And, in the heat of the sertão, a quick stop in the air conditioner is the best deal. Oh, there's a little shop with some products of the Museum.

  • Small but cosy Museum with great guides that dominate the subject without seeming to speak what was decorated. The Museum allows interaction with various parts. Well organized and shows some of the important, tiring, patient and curious work of archaeologists. The construction of the hydroelectric Xingó provided a beautiful and intensive research on our ancestors, Brazilians, about 9000 years ago, the ticket is symbolic, 10.00 R$, but be aware that the gate that leads to the parking lot is closed, giving the false impression that the MAX is closed!
