Amidst breathtaking scenery, you will find Flor do Vale - Alambique e Parque Ecologico, where you can learn about the process of distilling cachaça, Brazilian rum. The place lies in a valley near Canela and has a yellow bus that leaves from the central square of the city every day. You can reach the distillery by car as well and there is a parking lot on site. Upon arriving, stroll down the natural path through the surrounding woods. The visit begins, with or without an accompanying guide (upon request), using the signs and explanations available in each building. The infrastructure is comprised of five different buildings, with areas for production, ageing and bottling, as well as a restaurant and an emporium selling all related product lines.

The guides take you through the whole process of making cachaca, which is completely natural. You can taste the different types of rum and even make a bottle of custom rum to gift someone. Be sure to schedule enough time to have lunch at their restaurant offering delicious food at great prices. For a little adventure, you can even try your hand at crossbow shooting. • The service was super sweet in the lobby where we were presented the options of visiting or shopping at the store. Well worth getting to know the Park is preserved and well signposted. Do the 2 tracks and on the trail of the bugio scroll to the bottom (long way), but the reward is great! Taste the cachaça in the end of the tour and make bargains.

  • Great, beautiful gazebo structure at the top of the waterfall. Great rum and liqueurs. Set aside half a day for the ride. Make the longest trail and visit the last waterfall.

  • It's a beautiful place with a massive waterfall that you can actually get to the base. They advertise animals, such as monkeys and other native creatures, but I couldn't find any. You pay $15 per person if you want to go to their trails and to the waterfall. An extra $20 can buy you some archery practice. An extra $30 can buy you some gun practice. You can taste their traditional brazilian drink called "cachaça" (ka-sha-sah), which has 40% alcohol. You can also understand how the drink is made. They provide a booze bus to pick you up/drop off at the hotel if you want to try the drinks (cost varies). The roads there are unpaved with lots of potholes, so prepare your car for a dirt/dust fest. No one speaks English there.
  • Park with beautiful waterfalls, trails moderate to high performance, don't get cell phone reception, making it difficult to back home to ask for a Uber. Hardly a Uber wants to take you or get you, because it's far away and take a dirt road. There's wi-fi and admission is $15.00. A good option for those who enjoy the trail and nature.

  • An incredible experience, needs a bit of fitness to get down to the bottom of the waterfall, I'm glad you had stools on the trail that I could stop. You can take a bath in the waterfall so come prepared, bring a water TB, the place is fantastic vision. Worth

  • Small park, nice to see. The explanation of cachaça is completely in Portuguese. You can taste. Unfortunately it seemed that my credit card was not working and I have cash paid. However, it is also my credit card has been charged. I've contacted l, but get no response.

  • Great place and friendly! The tour by showing the steps in the manufacture of rum is very cool and fun, not to mention the tasting you have along the way. As for the tracks, all are great and well marked; in one of them you can get into the waterfall. Another thing, don't be afraid to play with the dog in there, it's huge, but very needy and docile; by that I Googled, is a German Dog. No what else to comment, congratulations to the Flower of the Valley! ACCEPT CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD!!!
