Where to stay in Canela

Thanks to its popularity among younger tourists looking for an outdoor adventure, Canela offers a particularly impressive range of budget lodgings. Hostels and simple guesthouses abound, most in buildings that fit with the town's traditional architecture. You won't find any large hotels or expansive resorts in Canela, though higher-end accommodations exist in the form of warm, cosy villas with pleasant gardens. Most places to stay are concentrated around the west of town in or around the neighborhood of Vila Suzana, which lies on the road to nearby Gramado.

  • We were the first time and we were fascinated with the work! It is absolutely different from anything I'd ever seen! The taste is for everything from the layout of the objects to the lighting and decoration of the floor .... just watching!! I suggest a visit with time, because there's a lot to do after we had to come back for more once! Super recommend! Very beautiful! Not to be missed!

  • Met by chance, but it was very worthwhile. My husband has a statue of a Japanese farmer who needs a walking stick made of glass or Crystal. Asked the owner, who is the artist himself, and he made on time, without even knowing if it would work. But of course it worked! He has wonderful pieces and is very nice to see it working. We love and recommend!

  • You can't let go of the Baroque and meet Adriano. He's a wonderful artist. My friends came to talk to him about a component of a statue which they possess and which broke. He immediately sat in his atelier and created a play equal TIME, with an enviable goodwill. Congratulations to Adriano and his store. Spectacular!!!
