Canasvieiras Beach, Canasvieiras

3.6
#13 of 68 in Outdoors in Florianopolis
Canasvieiras Beach vibrates with action day and night. Trendy shops and bars, catering to all budgets, line the sand. The bars are calm during the daylight hours, but at night they come alive with bumping' music and the crowds often spill out onto the sand to continue the celebration. Although the crowds pack the area during certain times of the year, the beach and water remain clean and inviting. • The strip of sand is very small, this causes people to stay stacked. Nevertheless, it's a good beach. Good to go with children, the sea is calm, just get there early to take place.

  • The strip of sand is narrow, so anyone who wants to stick around, it's good to go early. Controversial news about the quality of the water, so we decided not to risk.

  • Almost no sand beach. Felt in Argentina, the language more often heard on the beach is the Castilian. The pirate ship rides leave this beach and it also has panoramic tours by helicopter.

  • My favorite Beach in Florianópolis although not the prettiest or the most famous. The locals are very welcoming Canasvieiras and educated with the client. Has everything on hand. Hotel cheap and good, market, pharmacy, tourist guides and many stores that sell Brazilian handicrafts and typical of the region. The only downside is the enormous about of 40 km away from the beach to the Centre and airport. By taxi cost 100 reais so it pays to turn to the bus. But it's worth it too top!

Where to stay in Florianopolis

To get a true taste of the city's culture on your trip to Florianopolis, it's best to stay in the historical center on Santa Catarina Island. There you'll find plenty of accommodations--a significantly better selection than on the mainland--ranging from budget guesthouses and hostels to luxury hotels. Many guests, however, choose to take advantage of the island's charming nature by staying away from the city center, in the lakeside district of Lagoa da Conceição. For easy access to the best surf beaches on the island, stay a couple miles farther away at Mole Beach or Barra da Lagoa.
