  • The Church is very old, taking into consideration that it was the first Canaanite village of Brazil, has very interesting structure, with very thick walls and arrow slits, made to shoot arrows from the inside out, built as a Fort to defend the population. An interesting fact is that the constructions of the time were made with shells and whale oil (more than 300 years ago). Around the church there are fairs of handicrafts, pretty cool.

  • The thick walls and whitewashed. The Windows style arrow slits that are nothing more than a tear on the outside, but inside are broad and allow the brightness between, channeling the air from outside to the inside. Bobb with ' technology ' at the time. Antiquésimas images in the main altar. Impossible not to get in that stillness and not to imagine how many people brought there their afflictions and knelt down in those banks, generation after generation, for hundreds of years. It thrills me.
