  • A simple catholic church with a neat, clean and organized yard. Other than this, nothing see or to do.  more »
  • A very quiet place for peace. If you like Gregorian chant go in the afternoon, they begin exactly 16:45 (no entrance after that). Good to talk to the nuns too!  more »

  • The Church in the monastery is well maintained, modern architectural style. The gardens with many trees. Unfortunately there were trash (several cardboard kettles) in the internal parking (which is small), but you can park on the street, by the waves of City Hall. There was a septic tank sewer jetting in large quantity, contaminating the soil and the water table in the region. That needs to be repaired.

  • The monastery of St. John is a magnificent place. Gardens and beautiful lakes surrounded by vegetation of the Atlantic forest. An invitation to meditation and prayer. There is a chapel where you can watch the presentation of Gregorian chant. The nuns are very kind. Recommend!

  • To have peace of mind. Go around 3:00 pm, visit the gift shop, buy a jam, take a coffee in the cafeteria and rest. No rush. Meditate. If you have a book in hand, wonderful. At 5:45 pm, every day, the Gregorian chant of the nuns and their angelic voices.

  • Wonderful place, where nature brings together with the attention of the sisters, where the outside world is tiny compared to the fullness of the monastery in delicacy of flowers or the Gregorian chant that the sisters sing. And pure privilege share rare moments of fe in the company of the Benedictine nuns. I recommend anyone who wants to pass sublime moments. It's worth it.
