  • Beautiful initiative. Admission is $10.00 (whole). There is a video, the first room, explaining the process of woodcut. The Museum is located in a House with several rooms, all numbered to facilitate visitation, although not following the sequence obirgatório. The collection is good. However, despite having several explanatory and descriptive panels on the different stages and types of techniques, I missed more information about each artist exposttor, as, for example, your year of birth and, if applicable, of death. I was lucky to meet the couple that idealized the Museum, to be in place on the same day. They were measuring the walls to remanejarem the works. I could see how are passionate about this art through that brief contact, in which were very responsive, courteous and attentive. He also is xylographer. Besides, I liked the fact that contain recent works on temporary exhibition room, so again, as of old. And, outside, there is a beautiful garden that yields beautiful photos, in addition to providing a hot sense of peace and well-being. In short, for those who appreciate the art, it's a good ride!

  • Don't go if you're not interested in art. Is a relatively small museum telling the story of the woodcut and containing several works by Brazilian artists and some foreigners. Suitable for those who like woodcut and for the curious who appreciate a little art in General (like me). Not suitable for those who do not enjoy art and has no patience for looking at pictures. About of 10.00 entry when I went (11/17).

  • Great little museum. The retired professor and his wife speak English very well!
  • Uninteresting
  • Museum that tells the story and details about the woodcut; the visitation begins with a video demonstrating how the woodcut is made and then you can continue to visit so self-guided. The rooms are numbered to facilitate and, if necessary, for Museum staff to assist. I was surprised with the excellent collection. Also receives temporary exhibitions. Has a beautiful garden behind the Museum. Has a small gift shop. There's no parking, but it is possible to park at the door.

Where to stay in Campos Do Jordao

In keeping with the city's architectural style, most places to stay in Campos do Jordao are cozy wooden guesthouses or inns, rather than large hotel complexes. Concentrated in the neighborhood of Capivari, a couple miles northeast of the city center, Campos do Jordao's accommodations offer a relaxed, country-style atmosphere. Given the demographic of tourists who typically visit the city, you'll struggle to find budget lodging options, such as youth hostels. Reserve your room in advance, especially if visiting during the winter high season (May through August), to avoid disappointment.
