Where to stay in Brasilia

Choosing where to stay during your trip to Brasilia can be somewhat difficult. Due to the city's distinctive layout and lack of a historical "center," accommodations have developed in clusters. By far the best range of options surrounds the distinctive green space of Jardim Burle Marx, in the city's two planned hotel districts. You can also find a good selection of lodgings around Vila Planalto, the city's designated political district, which sits not far from Brasilia's main lake. Wherever you decide to stay, make sure it's within reasonable distance of a metro station or bus stop--you'll want good access to public transport in order to easily navigate the city.

  • Huge structure with lots of interesting exhibitions that come through. Parking is a little complex...
  • A structurally stable hemisphere with average exhibitions. I would rate it better if many sectors were not closed for renovating.
  • Nice museum and great space for expositions. But the acoustic is horrible and some parts don't work...
  • Designed by the most famous Brazilian Architect, you can enjoy nice art exhibitions here
  • Incredible. One of the finest museums I have ever seen. Wonderful architecture.
