Jardim Zoologico De Brasilia, Brasilia

3.9
#1 of 15 in Outdoors in Brasilia
Zoo / Aquarium Nature / Park
Jardim Zoologico De Brasilia is a spacious home for species both native to the region and imported from other exotic lands. The anclosures are designed to resemble the animals' native habitats and give the animals freedom of movement. Bring drinking water and wear your walking shoes, because more space for the animals means more walking for you. It's worth the exercise to see the impressive collection of species thriving in the zoo's expansive landscape. • Great for taking the kids. But, the value of the input considerably Subramanian. Few Diners and all far away. However, nice place to be with friends and family.

  • I'm from Brasilia and all my life I went to the Zoo and has always been one of the favorite places. However, over the last few visits, taking my daughter 3 years ago, I barely get 1:00 on site and there are several problems that I'm reporting to who knows, become a better place. I could see being made some changes, such as the placement of blindex in some precincts, which leaves no doubt better looking but, in a few moments the reflection gets in the way and visibility, as those of alligators. I liked that they put water fountains scattered over some places, some banks with coverage as the next giraffes and elephants and should have more of these areas next to the cats for example, the negative points I found: the Bad signs: much of the enclosures are boards with information from animals, and those that exist are bad. Another very bad point is the access between the points. Impossible to visit all the animals without having to go through the terrão, and in this period of drought is terrible. Need to have sidewalks linking all areas with signs suggesting a route with maps. Those who do not know, will stop seeing animals. might have tb, bicycle paths, guided tours. I saw some tb enclosures, abandoned, look terrible. The General aspect is ugly. those buildings where are a small museum, it looks like a shack. The bathrooms are tidy but are not cool. I believe that the welfare of the animals has to be in first place, tie even at the expense of better access to animals, but I found some very inadequate enclosures as an example, the nurseries of the birds. Before we had access inside, with a tunnel, but is closed for a long time, I found some extremely small for the amount of animals. Alligators, are in the old premises of jiboias, very small, for 3 animals. 1 by the way is with a horrific injury in the eye. All the reviews that I do, are simply by the desire to see a location that both taste and want to continue attending, taking my daughter, nephews, best, I hope you get, because the way it is, I haven't had much desire to return.

  • Has a good diversity of animals, allows a good hike to visit them, some animals are very exotic, but nothing extraordinary. I suggest a CAL to the place of butterflies, is delicious and fun, see the monkeys, always fun for kids. A picnic is a great option, because the power options are terrible and the face to the site.

  • A wide variety of animals that are very well cared for and habitats well maintained , you can get up close with the butterflies, the price is very low for admission
  • Top - Very good even this place is worth the visit. A wonderful look! Vale a visita - Local maravilhoso
  • A surpricingly nice and relaxing zoo. Liked the big lake thay have, with loads of turtles, and some animals walking free.
  • Special experience entering with the car into the zoo. But at the end we did visit all the animals by foot. Nice collection of animals, but there are still some improvements to be done to be better then zoo of foz do iguaçu.
  • Its a "OK" place but I dont like zoo's

Where to stay in Brasilia

Choosing where to stay during your trip to Brasilia can be somewhat difficult. Due to the city's distinctive layout and lack of a historical "center," accommodations have developed in clusters. By far the best range of options surrounds the distinctive green space of Jardim Burle Marx, in the city's two planned hotel districts. You can also find a good selection of lodgings around Vila Planalto, the city's designated political district, which sits not far from Brasilia's main lake. Wherever you decide to stay, make sure it's within reasonable distance of a metro station or bus stop--you'll want good access to public transport in order to easily navigate the city.
