Where to stay in Brasilia

Choosing where to stay during your trip to Brasilia can be somewhat difficult. Due to the city's distinctive layout and lack of a historical "center," accommodations have developed in clusters. By far the best range of options surrounds the distinctive green space of Jardim Burle Marx, in the city's two planned hotel districts. You can also find a good selection of lodgings around Vila Planalto, the city's designated political district, which sits not far from Brasilia's main lake. Wherever you decide to stay, make sure it's within reasonable distance of a metro station or bus stop--you'll want good access to public transport in order to easily navigate the city.

  • This building is an icon of Brasília. It's impossible to visit the Brazil's capital without seeing it, but what "they" do inside that is terrible. A part form the politics, it worth visiting.  more »

  • The guided tour takes about 45mins and it is an excellent experience to learn about Brazil's politics and to see some beautiful buildings
