Where to stay in Brasilia

Choosing where to stay during your trip to Brasilia can be somewhat difficult. Due to the city's distinctive layout and lack of a historical "center," accommodations have developed in clusters. By far the best range of options surrounds the distinctive green space of Jardim Burle Marx, in the city's two planned hotel districts. You can also find a good selection of lodgings around Vila Planalto, the city's designated political district, which sits not far from Brasilia's main lake. Wherever you decide to stay, make sure it's within reasonable distance of a metro station or bus stop--you'll want good access to public transport in order to easily navigate the city.

  • Stand-up paddle surfing at the lake is a great way to enjoy the dry season in Brasilia (June to October). It takes about one hour to paddle from Wind to JK bridge Club (and back). This provides nice views of the city from tlake Paranoá. Wind Club is a friendly place to rent SUP boards. It is located inside the Naval Club, the social club for Navy officers, not far from the main attractions of the Brasilia. It is a safe and well run place. They offer dozens of boards, but the place can get crowded. I recommend arriving before 10:00 am on sunny weekends. Windsurfing equipment and classes are available as well, but windy days are rare in Brasilia.

  • Like the Wind Club structure. Is a very good point of Lake Paranoá. They have good boards and life preservers and give a little class for beginners. After the exercise, you can take a shower in the locker room. Just nominate go in days not too crowded. The queue can be quite large and time consuming and, if the Lake is full of boats, the swell that cause could upset enough.

  • Great experience. 0 gave me practice SUP Club for the first time. The location is great, too. The equipment is good and the pros are quite committed to provide you with a great experience. For those who are members of the Club Naval or army Club for discounts in the price. The Club also offers other leisure nautical options. Worth knowing and if you get carried away ... it's just row!!!!!
