Udu Ceramica, Bonito

(5/5 based on 45+ reviews on the web)
Udu Ceramica offers hand-crafted ceramic pieces inspired by the landscape and wildlife of the Brazilian savanna. The workshop represents the lifelong dream of its founder, Sinéia Milano. He and his partner Yamada Shoishy--the master ceramist--are always in search of new talented local artists, as well as innovative styles and techniques. The shop sells mostly household items--cups, plates, bowls, vases, and candleholders--decorated with simple animal or floral motifs, sometimes done in bas-relief. • Quality and personality in parts, very good taste in portraying the local nature. The prices are compatible.

  • Beautiful work, all done right there by the craftsmen. The clerk leads us through the factory and explains how everything is done. You see artisans making the pieces, very cool! The products are beautiful. Are not so cheap if you're going to do setting or something. But overall accessible, good souvenir and gift option. Good to go in the late afternoon.

  • I went to visit the factory of the ceramics. Are beautiful pieces. Artisan production, with care and quality. We still get a lesson on the production of ceramics. Since the preparation of the mixture of clays to drying in the molds, mold release, the first in the oven, the artistic painting and the second burn. Beautiful pieces!!
