#5 of 12 in Nature in Bonito
Before you enter the Sao Miguel Caves, you'll be led through a canopy of trees alive with birds and across a swinging suspension bridge; that's just the beginning of the tour. You guide will continue with you through the dark passages of the cave using a flashlight to illuminate some of the extraordinary formations along the way. • If you don't have many options, is an interesting attraction, but there's great attractions. For those who've never been in a cave, maybe it's worth it. In my opinion low cost X benefit.

  • This is the tour that you will win if the CVC, the farm is beautiful and I must say I was more delighted with macaws than with the cave. Macaws in droves, loose and very close to the public. It's a ride worth fit if you have that gap in the schedule and want to achieve something on the cheap. But as I like water, would opt for the Balneario municipal in an upcoming opportunity. Is indicated for those with children, the elderly, as it is very quiet and there are no difficulties in visiting the cave.

  • The ride is pretty cool, the cave was created from the movement of tectonic plates. The site is about 11 km from Nice, is a private farm, as well as almost all tours of Beautiful (except the Balneário Municipal), and it was transformed into environmental reserve, and is where we were greeted, the site has complete infrastructure to receive tourists Initially we saw a lecture about the site, your story, features of local animals and kills the ride itself. There was a failure of the team that had no translator, there were two tourists in the Group and they don't understand a lot of things and also lacked flashlight to some people. The staff of the farm seems to be tired from work and treats the tourist as numbers and which must follow the rules, anyway, but that doesn't take away the shine of the ride. Put the helmet on and started through a suspended track at the time of the World Cup of many trees, along the way the guide will come to learn about animals and the diversity of the environment. The Grotto is really very interesting to know, has an entry that at first seems small and approaching can leave you speechless for a few seconds, the contemplation is the base of the ride. Worth knowing, it's not often we can see something so magnificent!

  • The caves of San Miguel are very beautiful with many speleothems (Stalactites, stalagmites, columns, pearls, coralóides, etc). We saw some bats and insects cavernícolas. The caves of San Miguel have no mirror of water. Are 2 but only 1, is open to visitors and even so only partially.

Where to stay in Bonito

The main town in Bonito provides a good range of accommodations to suit diverse tastes and budgets, with everything from luxury resort-style hotels to backpacker-friendly hostels dotting the gridded urban area. Heading east out of the main town, a few remote pousadas (guesthouses) lie along the course of the Rio Formosa. Pre-booking is essential, particularly during peak season (July and December to March), because of the relatively small number of options available for an ever-growing demand.
