  • I did the walk today with my wife, despite going a bit far worth it. The Miller guide that we took is very thoughtful and playful. The walk for the trail reaches the first floating point despite some very quiet and long when we started floating the Guide showed us the difference between the fish, trees and indicated the best paths to complete the route.

  • About 1:30 drive from Bonito. Going we went mostly paved roads, on the way back mostly dirt roads. Our driver from Bonitour was Junior, very funny and friendly. Rio da Prata is a snorkeling trip down a small river that has its beginning on the farm that hosts the reception area. After getting a neoprene suit, diving mask and snorkel, there is a 10 minute drive and then a 10 minute hike to the beginning of the river itself. The trip is about 2:30 hours of snorkeling down the river, basically floating down the river (the activity is called flutuação in portuguese) together with the fish that live there, which are about 1-2 feet in length. The fish get very close, definitely worth having an underwater camera with you (they rent GoPros at the recpetion area). After coming back to the reception area they serve an excellent lunch, local fare, all very good -the banana dessert was my favorite. On the way back our van stopped by at "Buraco das Araras", which is a separate trip and one either spends time in their hammocks, or goes on the short (1 hour) trip itself.
  • Simply fantastic. I recommend it.
  • This is on my top list of crazy places to visit in Brazil. Rio da prata is a snorkeling activity that you will remember. The water is crystal clear!!!
  • One of the best things to do ever. Remember to get your head out of the water every now and then and enjoy the amazing spectacle that is only seen floating silently down a river in a rainforest.
  • Awesome cystal clear water
