Zimbros Beach, Bombinhas

(3.3/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Zimbros Beach is recommended for its fish restaurants. This comes as no surprise, as local residents are fishermen who cultivate shellfish and oysters. The calm waters allow for water sports such as sailing and skiing. Those seeking tranquility can enjoy the scenery with vessels docked at the boardwalk. This was the first beach spotted by Azorean settlers in the peninsula. The settlers discovered junipers and hence the name of the beach. The beach is also an ecological center with regional examples of flora and fauna. Use our Bombinhas trip builder to arrange your visit to Zimbros Beach and other attractions in Bombinhas.

  • Apart from the rest Zimbros has the charm of its calm waters with the ingredient of fishing boats anchored just a few meters. This very little populated. There was no more than a few tourists. Rare, not know because. Perhaps because not there is infrastructure as the others.

  • Even in season is a very quiet family beach. Calm water, suitable for children or water sports.

  • It is a quiet place Bombinhias minutes; with many boat houses on the sea and fishing on its coast. Little activity social. Places to eat and buy fish and seafood
