Sepultura Beach, Bombinhas

(4.3/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Don't be put off by the morbid name, the only thing Sepultura Beach ("Beach of Graves") has in common with an actual grave is its stillness. Barely a ripple disturbs its crystal clear waters, making them perfect for snorkelling. According to local legend, the beach is named after the grave of a slave who was killed after a fight on the site in 1840, but it is difficult to imagine violence of any kind happening in such an idyllic and tranquil spot.. Put Sepultura Beach and other Bombinhas attractions into our Bombinhas trip itinerary planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling, while crossing the hold walls the beach is beautiful and less crowded.

  • Beach with crystalline waters, however when I visited was completely full. The look is amazing.

  • The arrival at the beach does not have easy access, you must choose a parking lot and leave the car or bike. The beach is very beautiful, but the strip of sand should not exceed 100 m long by about 5 meters wide, causing people to pile up at the scene. The water when I went was very beautiful crystal. With a tip from a local boy, we went by a fast track to the beach call the neotropic Cormorant, with waters so beautiful as the grave.
