Eleven waterfalls with three stops for swimming and a chance to rappel make the Boca da Onca Falls a must see for the nature lover in you. You'll climb up 800 stairs to the top of waterfalls that descend like veils over the craggy rocks. Once there, you will rappel in a pair over the ledge down 90 m (295 ft) into a gorge. This is a good option for a beginner to the outdoors, as you will be guided through the area by a trained professional and a maintained wooden walkway make up the trail. Before arriving, brush up on your Portuguese because not all the guides speak English. However, language skill won't be needed around the delicious meal they will lay before you at the end of your tour. A very nice and cosy place with refreshing bath and points you brought tranquillity. The guide was very friendly and was explaining many curiosities for the trail. The staircase (of 886 steps) is well drawn, but that doesn't hinder the rest of the tour. The restaurant food was tasty, but I think they could have more options.
