I went to the Carnival to Bertioga with my fiance and a couple of friends simply love this beach. Although people hearing sound (2 groups) and smoking pot, the beach is very extensive, so you get a quiet corner without problems. Beautiful, tranquil sea, clean sand and a little deserted, so I set Itaguaré. Despite having no infrastructure (kiosks, chairs and parasols for rent), the visit is worth, so take your food, beverages, Chair and umbrella and take full advantage of the tranquility of this place.

Beautiful place! A freshwater River cuts the beach creating ponds, also has trails for bird watching as the black mask, breathing clean sheet crowned, among other species. There's no bar or restroom on site, so take everything I can and a bag of trash to clean up at the end of the visit. It is forbidden to bring dogs, but nobody respects. The beach has good waves pro surfing and other sports.

Banks Beach too hot to go for a walk. Not a lot of infrastructure. Worth the ride and take a dip.

Where to stay in Bertioga

Most of Bertioga’s visitors are domestic tourists, many of whom have holiday homes in the area. When the owners aren’t enjoying a vacation, they rent out the properties, at what is often a very reasonable rate. These homes-away-from-home vary widely, ranging from studio apartments to luxurious villas. If you’d prefer to stay in a hotel on your vacation, consider any of a number of large establishments near the beachfront. Bear in mind that prices tend to increase the closer you get to the sea. Bed and breakfasts or inns, referred to as “pousadas,” are often more budget friendly.
