The valley spreads throughout three different cities located on the mountain region of Rio Grande do Sul State and represents the historical, cultural, and gastronomical legacy. Formerly a settlement for Italian immigrants that arrived to the south Brazilian region in 1875, Vale dos Vinhedos (Grapevine Valley), nowadays provides wine tastings of merlots, cabernet sauvignons, rieslings or chardonnays in over 31 wineries, most of which also offer welcome tours with cheese and grape juice tasting.
