Almaunica Winerie, Bento Goncalves

4.1
#9 of 22 in Wineries in Bento Goncalves
Winery / Vineyard Food & Drink
As you approach the beautiful, modern Almaunica Winerie, you will be greeted enthusiastically by one of the owners. Although relatively new to the business, the two brothers are the sons of one of the oldest winemakers in the Vale dos Vinhedos, the most traditional of all Brazil’s wine producing regions. You will learn about the fascinating development and production of the award-winning wines through demonstrations and tasting sessions, and the tour takes you down into the cellar where the wines are aged in imported oak barrels. The shop sells the full range of wines, but if you can’t wait, the garden has spectacular views of the vineyards and is the perfect setting to appreciate a glass, or two. • It seems to me that the Almaunica is, beside the crumb and the one of the wineries Valduga more professionals in the Valley of the Vineyards. Tasting offered-and pays-is interesting. The place is worth the visit.

  • A beautiful place where already at the entrance if you have a beautiful visual of their vineyards and the modern building that houses the site of tasting and the store selling their products. The wines and sparkling wines are of excellent quality for reasonable prices where stands out the Shiraz which is the flagship of the winery. Worth knowing!

  • the wines are among the best Brazilians (although the owner should consider among the best in the universe), but I came here to congratulate me, exactly why. Looks like they took the owner of the front line and were very well attended by two employees who were there. Very well attended even, very different from other times. Have been a kindness at the level of the wine they serve. I really liked that they housed tasting option pays, which had asked here, in a comment from 2014. How do we get in there just to buy a few bottles, since we know the product, we didn't want to do the tasting, they still offered us proof of two labels, free of charge and with smiles, which always gives us a great feeling. I'm glad you changed, because the wines are really great. Just don't put excellent in note because I thought that happened almost a standardization of tastes for the length of the barrel.

  • Is the typical and best boutique winery "Bento Gonçalves. There are guided tours in certain times, but strolling through the small house structure, we don't seem much to visit and exists we prefer to do only the tasting-pays, whose value is not of the cheapest in the region. The attendance was far from being a helpful lesson to beginners as in other houses-more an interesting conversation and informal on the production of the House. However, the quality surpasses the average distance of the Vale dos Vinhedos. The price is not the cheapest, but it matches the level of labels, especially for those who prefer red wines aged and more full-bodied. Maybe it's not a place who does not start in the "art"-I don't know how the tour-but it is a must for those who demand the best in brazilian wine production.

  • Beautiful Winery. Small, modern and values for the quality of its products. We intermediate tasting and without a doubt there we find the best wines of the Serra Gaúcha.

  • Don't be stingy. If you're an oenophile and lover of this particular world of wines and sparkling wines, make the Premium tasting. In it you will be able to meet the full range of products of this excellent Winery. Recommend!!! And trade, making a good purchase is very likely that you waive the tasting cost above.
