Almaunica Winerie, Bento Goncalves

(4.1/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
As you approach the beautiful, modern Almaunica Winerie, you will be greeted enthusiastically by one of the owners. Although relatively new to the business, the two brothers are the sons of one of the oldest winemakers in the Vale dos Vinhedos, the most traditional of all Brazil’s wine producing regions. You will learn about the fascinating development and production of the award-winning wines through demonstrations and tasting sessions, and the tour takes you down into the cellar where the wines are aged in imported oak barrels. The shop sells the full range of wines, but if you can’t wait, the garden has spectacular views of the vineyards and is the perfect setting to appreciate a glass, or two. • Very nice wine, with fine wines is a modern and warm! The wines are very good and the visitation is very quick and tasty!

  • We arrived early in the afternoon. Talk to the lady that we answered that we wanted to do the tour and tasting and she just told us to stay at home, showed the tanks upstairs and reported that the barrels were downstairs. This was the "guided tour". The tastings come to R$ 80 and this value is not rolled back on purchases not just boxes and boxes of wine. The tasting was very dull, without much explanation of the wines nor the history of Almaúnica. It was one of the last vineyards we visited and we used with the friendliness and family atmosphere of the other wineries in the Valley. The service was quite harsh and "soulless" even. The experience pleased us. As for the wines, really like the 4 castes, the other that do not have attracted us much, because we have not seen a good difficult to find entrance door in any of them.

  • After visiting the wineries Valduga House and Meat went with my wife to visit the soul Only. The curious thing is that this name is given to the fact that the Owners are twin brothers (that's what they told me at least). I was answered directly by the Lady (Magda), which was very nice and helpful, introduced us to the vineyard and also several wines (especially Merlot, I found very good). In the end I ended up taking 6 bottles of assorted wines (Syrah, Cabernet, Merlot, etc). Well worth the visit not only for the wine but also for servicing. Let me including a contact/credit card to make purchases that they send via carrier the bottles for SP and with promotional prices on buying more units (that no one offered me in the other), Anyway, quality product. I recommend!
