Almaunica Winerie, Bento Goncalves

#9 of 22 in Wineries in Bento Goncalves
As you approach the beautiful, modern Almaunica Winerie, you will be greeted enthusiastically by one of the owners. Although relatively new to the business, the two brothers are the sons of one of the oldest winemakers in the Vale dos Vinhedos, the most traditional of all Brazil’s wine producing regions. You will learn about the fascinating development and production of the award-winning wines through demonstrations and tasting sessions, and the tour takes you down into the cellar where the wines are aged in imported oak barrels. The shop sells the full range of wines, but if you can’t wait, the garden has spectacular views of the vineyards and is the perfect setting to appreciate a glass, or two. • A modern Winery with beautiful architecture and has excellent wines which can be tasted is worth the visit

  • Wine Road in the Valley of the Vineyards Winery's vision is inspiring! A stately building reached by a road lined with tall trees and surrounded by vineyards. Is a young Enterprise opened in 2008, but with respect. The tasting has 3 different values for different quantities of wines to taste. You can take a trip to the basement where are the drums, which is fast. The wines have a fair price for the quality and I must say, of the tastings we did, the set of Almaunica wines was the one that stood out. You can get wine anywhere in the Brazil in boxes with at least 6 bottles. Is it really worth the visit.

  • The first time we went, it was close to closing time and did not allow tasting and just told me to go downstairs and watch the winery. Despite being empty, nobody followed. Today we went and was very busy, but the service was ok. Guided visitation (see timetables on the website) is very fast (some 15/20 min). There's no cost. The tastings are $50.00 or $80, 30.00 per. None of this is reversed on purchases, unlike other wineries. However, serving wine to a high standard. You stay in a room, at a table and serving with a brief explanation of the product. If you want to just try out one or another sales desk, is possible. The wines are very good, all aged in oak barrels. The prices are high. It's not my favorite spot in the Valley, especially for the service, it could be better. Worth the visit. But the tasting, not so much.

  • Today there at 15:10 h, thinking it would come in advance, because the wine's e-mail was written that the visit would be to 15:30 h. But I was wrong to find that there was started at 15:00 h. The attendant said he himself was always at 15:00 h. As I didn't want to be 50 minutes waiting, I left without knowing the winery.

  • One of the great vineyards of the Valley, follow the case very well his sirah grapes. On a recent visit, the Brut sparkling wine was great as well as your room castes. Visit indispensable!

  • Is the typical and best boutique winery "Bento Gonçalves. There are guided tours in certain times, but strolling through the small house structure, we don't seem much to visit and exists we prefer to do only the tasting-pays, whose value is not of the cheapest in the region. The attendance was far from being a helpful lesson to beginners as in other houses-more an interesting conversation and informal on the production of the House. However, the quality surpasses the average distance of the Vale dos Vinhedos. The price is not the cheapest, but it matches the level of labels, especially for those who prefer red wines aged and more full-bodied. Maybe it's not a place who does not start in the "art"-I don't know how the tour-but it is a must for those who demand the best in brazilian wine production.

  • Beautiful Winery. Small, modern and values for the quality of its products. We intermediate tasting and without a doubt there we find the best wines of the Serra Gaúcha.
