Museu De Artes & Oficios, Belo Horizonte
(4.5/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
With over 2,000 artifacts, the permanent collection in Museu De Artes & Oficios presents a tactile display of the ingenuity and creativity of the Brazilian artisans pre-industrialization. As you examine the collection, notice how beautiful many of the tools were, despite their mundane purposes. The museum occupies two restored railway buildings, joined by an underground tunnel. The active train track running through the middle of the property is used by thousands of commuters daily. The creation of the museum has helped spur the revitalization of the square outside the museum, which sponsors regular cultural events. • The Museum brings us to reflect as they were performed the work formerly. A lot has changed and some hardly see more crafts. You can see a little bit of everything ... How were shoes, hats, leather treatment, tiles, bricks, jewels. We must go there to travel in time. Within a mile of the station square and easy to reach.

  • The perfect place if you want to know more about the Belo Horizonte and Minas Gerais history. There's a lot of artifacts and objects that show us everything of the past and the modern times.
  • It is a beautiful Museum with the history of the crafts of the region since the beginning of Brazil until the beginning of the 20th century. It is a good way to learn a little about the development of the country. It has a beautiful courtyard with old machines and is housed in a former train station, the train still passes through these channels and you can see as you move along the Museum. In addition the square having at the entrance has a beautiful view of the city, while there is understood because the city is called Belo Horizonte.
